Almonds are good, you can eat more than that tho.

Almond flour is excellent for baking with, almonds are a good source of healthy fats. Yes, almonds are perfect for diabetics.

Ahh yes, i concur, almonds are great for diabetics - providing they're not in marzipan or atop Mr Kipling's Almond Slices! lol

Hi I mix almond butter into whipped cream as a dessert. Yummy

Where do you buy your Almond Butter? I've never heard of it before today. Is it similar to peanut butter? :)

Hi I got my last jar from tesco, I've also seen it in sainbury's and morrisons. I think its readily available just need to search for it

Ground almond is a significant part of my low carb diet - almond porridge, almond cake-bread ....

Ooooh thanks, I'll put it on my shopping list. I've never noticed it on the shelves at all. But will now certainly find it. :D

I also buy almond butter at Tesco- along with my marzipan and Mr Kipling Almond Slices

I find almond butter a bit too thick and sticky to eat straight off, but it's lovely in a curry as an alternative to peanuts as you would get in a satay sauce.

When I'm in a peanut butter mood, I don't get as far as even spreading it on a cracker, I just behave like a bear, stick my paw into the jar and omnyomyom ... hope I can do that with almond butter too.

The more I eat LCHF foods, I'm amazed at how quickly I'm losing my sweet tooth.

You don't have to buy jars of any nut butter. Just put the nuts of your choice in a blender/processor and whizz until smooth. Most nut butters have added palm oil, sugar and salt. The skippy brand used to contain hydrogenated fat!
