Doe altitude affect the blood sugar levels. Are they higher (or lower) at altitude (say 2000 meters)?

Have a read. There are I believe some climbers on the site here who may be able to offer some advice. One thing to consider is that Blood Glucose meters are not guarenteed to work at high altitudes.

Good point! I knew someone who lived high in the Rockies who found significant differences between his house and sea level, can't remember in which direction though.
