Do you have a glucometer to double check the hypo? Cgms can be inaccurate, particularly for the first 24 hours.Hi Ellie, I have the libre 2 sensor. I'm a pretty **** diabetic to be honest. Would I lower the basal dose ( is this my evening dose) as I've been on the same 16 since I first started on it.
Yes I do.
Do you have someone you can phone for advice? :Logically hypos are caused by too much insulin. If you're not confident to adjust your doses you need advice.I have an appointment at the beginning of June. As I've not been to a diabetes nurse for over a year with moving location. My Dr always says my hba1c is fine at 56.
Honestly if it's only been happening for one day I wouldn;t stress too much. From personal experience, you might have accidentally injected too much basal???Thank you Ellie. This only started yesterday and I'm just a tad worried as it's never happened before. I will see if I can contact the diabetic health team at my local hospital as I know there is one there because I've walked past it, thank you again for listening x
If your on Basal reduce the dose a littleHi all, getting worried as of yesterday my sugars have been low. Morning I had 2 toast one with peanut butter decided on 1 unit of insulin as sugars a little low. Evening meal of korma and rice had no insulin as at 4. Going to bed sugars at 6, 20 mins later 3.8. A few sweets and a banana went to sleep 6 am hypo again. Help needed as still low after breakfast bar and tea, what's wrong with me been type 1 since 1987.
