Always Tired

iHs, Coeliac undiagnosed can have normal poo as well, its just seriously under diagnosed. 1 in 100 have it but something like only 1 in 1000 are diagnosed. (numbers guestimated cant remember exactly.) I had no symptoms and only found out when I was asked to take part in a pediatric trial. I would recomend anyone having blood taken get tested for it. I would also recomend thyroid testing but a few people have mentioned it.
 
Coeliac has been mentioned before by my consultant and I have been tested before for it and I didn't have it, but I haven't been tested recently I don't think plus it was mentioned before I was approved the insulin pump.

Sorry, I should have realised that coeliac disease is not always easy to detect

My OH is coeliac and before finally being diagnosed, ended up looking like a stick insect who was a whiter shade than pale. Everything he ate just went straight through him down the loo.


Nicola...... have you had your vit D levels checked at all (bloodtest) only a low level of vit d can result in tiredness? Apparently a lot people in the UK are finding out that they are deficient in it.
 
Thats ok I just try and spread aweness as I hadent even heard of it before being diagnosed. It really is a slippery little ****** though.
 
That's okay! and I don't think so the only blood tests that I have had is Hba1c and the cholesterol one?
 
Ask for your vit D level to be checked as it might be low if you've not gone out in the sun much last year and if you did, you probably put suntan lotion on to stop you getting burnt.
 
Im Ginger so I always catch the sun and I rarely put suntan lotion on because I always forget but I will look into it! cant see my doctor for another 2 weeks though :(
