Am I having hypos?

This is a fantastic forum for newbies - I feel I know more about what I am doing now!

I just had a plate of best steak mince, with lots of cabbage, salad with a little feta cheese and olives, and one small new potato. I haven't had any potatoes at all for over a month and I can tell you, it was the sweetest, most delicious potato ever! I feel fit to take on the world now.

I'm going to have a lovely cup of tea now and enjoy the feeling of having eaten well.

Thanks again.

If the few carbs you're having are coming from your veg, really-really low amounts every day must mean you're eating a pretty small and narrow selection of veg, which I'd not think good as a longer term strategy. If an 80g portion of veg is 'normal', very few of them will give you only 2g of carbs. So if you're aiming for 5 to 9 portions of veg a day (or fruit and veg if you're occasionally having fruit), that would give you a bit more - and give you a better range of vitamins and minerals, too. Might that help?
