Am I obsessed or just experimenting?

I can see why and that’s when I will use one, on holiday to Rome.
I only have a glucose meter but I don't take it on holidays. I just do my best as far as low carb meals are concerned. Not much point in measuring meals that are one off's and were the most suitable thing you could find. You are not going to enjoy a holiday and nor is a partner if you are continuously fretting about your BG. I usually get a lot more exercise on holidays so hopefully that compensates for any extra carbs.

I leave my meter at home as well - I still eat low carb when I can but don’t get too concerned if the only food available has more carbs than usual. I’m also not adverse to enjoying an ice cream and/or cream tea or two and usually have a dessert with my dinner at night.

I like the sound of that advice.

Not used the Codefree meter, the TEE2 works well for me. I have an AgaMatrix Jazz 2 meter also which is small and really nice but the test strips are double the price so I use it in a back up / sense check role

I know I'm being a bit thick here but do I still need to buy libre sensors every 14 days!?

i'm glad you asked, @Debandez ..saved me looking like a dufus.

still rather a hit each fortnight, was rather hoping the miaomiao,
might just be a one off purchase, nothing else required...

Glad your getting on OK with the sensor.

Bear in mind that the Freestyle Libre reader is also a strip meter, although it doesn't come with any strips. I managed to find some strips on EBay and keep it as a backup to my SDCodeFree.

I've found my sensors to be reasonably in sync with my SDCodeFree. I use the free Glimp app for Android. It allows you to manually add blood test measurements which it then uses to automatically adjust the graph, showing a line for the raw sensor reading (purple) and the main line for the adjusted reading.
