Anaemia and High Blood Sugars?

Hello,

I have Type 1 Diabetes, my blood sugars are sky high at the moment and I don't understand why. I have have exhausted all other avenues so I was wondering I have recently became Anaemic. Can anaemia cause high bloods?

A low haemocrit can cause blood glucose meters to read too high. Do you know your haematocrit value? If you read the instruction leaflet for the meter, it should tell you the range of haematocrit values that it is accurate for.
