And another one!

Chin up Scandi. I was a pound down this morning, but it will probably be back tomorrow  Down, up, stay the same, down again...my weight is up and down like a dog's leg, but is it travelling in the right direction overall. This is what matters :)

Got up this morning and had put 2lbs on but at 6pm was a pound less so am now 13.5 not 13.4 :(

I know if I weighed myself more than once a week at the same time my weight would be up and down. I never weigh myself more than once a day - it's all psychological:)

Honestly, Scandi, my scales can show up to 4lb difference up or down between one day and the next. I have to take an average. All I know is that they are going down.

I stopped stepping on the scales at all for a couple of years, and managed to slowly lose weight. At the moment I am being a bit obsessive about getting on them. I should go back to weighing weekly or fortnightly.

I'd love to suddenly lose loads, but 1lb a week is fine. Eventually I will lose 8.5 stone - in 2 and a bit years. LOL

You've done brillianlty with your weight loss. It's great to see it can be done.

Thank you all! I have eaten my 2 sausages and poached egg, 2 small handfuls of nuts , 2 baby bels, a piece of salmon and a yummy salad. I have also walked to Lidl at double time which is an hour round trip. Have got results of hba1c tomorrow and they won't be good - 2 colds and a chest infection plus cholestrol reading and discussion about weight so am feeling on edge! Actually got nice doc but feel I've got something to prove. Especially as I haven't taken my statins for 3 months! Wish me luck!

Good luck. I'll be very interested in your view on life without statins. I'm still taking mine.

It was the impact on my short term memory. I kept forgetting close friends names! I started thinking I was going senile. Memory a lot better without them!

Really? That's interesting. For the last few years I've been losing words. I get as far as the first letter and then get stuck. They come eventually, but it can take a while. Not so good when you're trying to write a novel. I never thought it could be to do with any medication.

that happens to me too but I am not on statins. maybe it is an age thing:(

I had the losing words thing too. This has got a lot better since stopped taking them.

I had the losing words thing too, when I was first diagnosed type 2 and for a couple of years before that too. I used to make up words for things I couldn't say, family got mad at me, but I just couldn't remember the words. I hadn't realised that I was fine and don't do it now...until I read these posts. I have never taken statins.

Ah, so there's hope for me? Did it go as you got control of BS levels or with losing weight or just went?
