What do you even know about him? Or why he’s leaving ?

Most people need some support and attention at times for all sorts of reasons, even yourself perhaps Stephen_T. Why else would you post such an emotive comment other than to get responses? That is partly what this forum is about and there are lots of kind people on here who will offer support if you ask nicely.

Maybe Diabeticliberty just got fed up of having to be the "funny guy" all the time. The pressure to come up with a new joke every day, to entertain those on a particular thread, or to be cheerful and carefree. OK to begin with, but I can imagine that it might become a tremendous strain after a time; even on this thread people are clambouring for him to stay to cheer them up, cause they'd miss that. Why should he? Cheer yourselves up; better still, you cheer him up for a change. The whole thing kinda reminds me of the sadness that lurks inside the clown. Perhaps he just needs to break away from it all, and take a rest.

I dunno. Pure guesswork on my part.

Whatever the reason, I wish him well.

Well miss him because he joined in and became a nice part of our day.... no-one ever made him feel like he had to deliver the goods every post

People come, people go. It is the natural order of things. Not one of us is so precious that we will be missed for long. Forums don't work that way.

I'll listen to you and try a witty answer every once in a while while waiting for old-timers to return or new-timers to become like old friends!

And we also have @Scott-C who is obviously a memory man with diabetes. This guy remembers my posts that I had actually forgotten.
 
I back tracked through some of the OPs final posts to see what may have triggered and could not see anything that might cause someone to up and leave.
There you go then....
