Being type 1, my health and what really grates me are false people who make themselves out to be something when their not
I'm all for helping young diabetics but the Daily Mail has a bit about this monitor above but is this true a £200 + price tag to me that's not helping them or the parents/carers out much can any shed some light on this not that I want one as I'm too old. ( But you never know)

Oh don't be surprised if the NHS do make it available, more economical would be an app aimed at kids with the same functions apart from the test itself and make a nominal charge going to diabetes research or to the NHS but this would be to simple !!

Blood strips are more exspensive as well. I doubt it would be made available on the nhs. You can get glucose monitors free direct from the manufacturers so I cant see them overpaying for something like this. Nice idea though but far too expensive

The world's first Angry Birds themed blood glucose meter has been released on February 10 2015 in the UK and Europe.

The device was developed by Finnish health technology company, Modz, after discussing blood glucose meters with children and healthcare specialists.

The meter aims to make blood testing less of a chore for children with diabetes and increase their motivation to achieve improved blood glucose levels.

It can fit into pockets or be worn around the neck, and reminds users to test their blood sugar levels, while meal times can be stored in the memory of the meter.
