Animas vibe alarms

Quick one for you guys, do you know the black cartridge compartment cap. When I unscrewed this before an alarm would sound straight away. I have done a canular change and now when I unscrew the cap, nothing happen - is this correct ?

The alarm is random. It sounds if the cartridge is loose while it is trying to do a basal step (or extended bolus step). If you are quick or lucky you can get the cartridge cap on and off, even change the cartridge, without the alarm.
