Got a letter today from Animas regarding safety warnings for their Vibe pump. Writing is too small for me read; anyone else get a letter, what's the jist of it - something I should be concerned about? I'd appreciate if someone could give me a link or let know please. Need to get a new magnifying glass!

It just tells you to make sure the pump casing isn't cracked as some plonkers have been over tightening the battery cap thus causing the pump to malfunction.

Yes, I got that letter last week. As @CarbsRok says, it's just to remind people that the battery cap should not be tightened too much. It also reminds people to replace the battery cap every 6 months minimum - more frequently if you swim a lot or work in a dusty environment.

It appears some people have been mistakenly over tightening the battery cap and cracking the pump casing. The letter reminds you not to do that, and refers people to the appropriate chapter in the Vibe manual.

Also check for cracks if you've ever dropped it.

I've cracked two pumps, I honestly have no idea how as I'm very careful when changing the battery!

It's been dropped a couple of times so that's what I put it down to.
