Hi All
Today marks my 7 year anniversary of being diagnosed T2.
Initially I was able to keep my Hba1c down in the 30’s through a combination of healthy eating, walking and losing weight.
Then I ended up having an emergency operation and was fed a diet of white bread, jelly and ice cream etc with strict instructions to follow that regime for several months.
Unfortunately this broke all my good habits and my putting my head in the sand I ended up with a Hba1c of 75 in October,
Latest Hba1c was down to 59 in march and I’m hoping it’s down in the 40’s by my next test due in May.
Hopefully I haven’t done any major long term damage but I can’t turn back the clock and can only focus on the present and future.
Thanks to everyone here for all the good advice and encouragement and hopefully I’ll be celebrating next month with a much lower Hba1c
