Hi all I have a cold at the moment but I'm supposed to have my blood tests and urine sample done Saturday for my annual review. Will my cold affect the results? Am I ok to still have them done or make another appointment. Thanks for your help.

I am not in favour of putting things off until another day. What if you get a cold or flu before your postponed tests?
I think the best plan is to get your tests done and then make any necessary allowances for the fact you are under the weather.

A cold in the last few days before a HbA1c shouldnt make much of a dent in the result but if it does you would be right to give yourself (a little ) leeway where your numbers are concerned. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies I will go for blood tests as planned. Thank you
