OK, I have searched and cant find the post which said that adults in the UK eat around 70lbs of sugar annually.

I want to know if that figure is added sugar, or includes the carbs in rice or bread or some veg and is counted as part of the sugar total please.

I am try to educate someone on what sugar is, and this info would be helpful.

No idea, but I can't imagine it includes the glucose from carbs. How on earth would anyone be able to count that? I imagine it comes from sugar itself, calculated by the number of bags that are sold. Happy to be put wrong.
