being diabetic
Hi my names Sue and I've been a type 2 diabetic for the past 3+ years. My diabetes isn't very well controlled and I suffer greatly with pain. Mostly in my feet which makes it difficult for me to walk.
I know I should do more to control the diabetes b ut I also suffer quite badly with depression and when things are bad I seem to reach for all the wrong stuff.
On a plus note I've started trying to grow veg in containers, this will hopefully make me eat better and it also makes me leave the house, which is something I have difficulty doing.

Hi Sue and welcome

Neuropathy can sometimes be corrected by lowering blood glucose levels.
If you can do something about that it might help with your depression - feeling like you're walking on broken glass is not a pleasant experience.

hope your veg growing is going ok

Getting your BG under control may well improve both the neuropathy *and* the depression

The website is currently down, but a successful protocol in addition which may help with the neuropathy is Alpha Lipoic Acid 300 - 600mg/day and Evening Primrose Oil 500 - 1000mg/day, also possibly benfotiamine.

This takes time to work and isn't successful for everyone but may be worth a try
