Boseley is from the Healthy Wholegrain Academy of Calories and Vegetable Oils. She’s last-gen. The old guard. Every time I see her name attached to an article I know it’s only going to tell half the story, and even that half will probably be inaccurate.

I love the how to reverse it paragraph, eat a good diet, get back to a normal weight, exercise and drink less often. Such typical vague advice.... broken record stuff. Just follow that and it will all fall into place for you.

Thats because it doesn't fit in with the wholegrain no animal food agenda that the Guardian is intent on pushing these days..

Interesting that it is called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
And obesity is not caused by alcohol at times?
How do you know whether someone with fatty liver is because they eat AND drink too much
as opposed to one or other.?
How many cases are a mixture but counted under both types ?
The greater the number the more push for funding ??
The message is simple: prevention for those at risk and identify causes and mange them as best possible.
see mayoclinic.org Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. many of the causes have to do with excessive carbohydrate
intake - I wonder whether Inuit and Laplander people had such a condition before Western diets came in?
