Another possible cure for T1s?

Some pregnant T1s produce insulin again when pregnant. Researchers would like to replicate the mechanisms for this:

Possible but don't get your hopes built up

I've lost count how many articles I've read over the years about a possible cure is on the horizon, that said I am really confident that cure of sorts may be found in the next 10 years.

Another promising development. I'm convinced that there will be something along within the next decade too. I know that it's a running joke that many people are told this at diagnosis (mine was 10 years ago), but there have been some very interesting developments recently.

I've been diabetic nearly 40 years and when first diagnosed was told by the consultant that there would be a cure for diabetes in the next decade . I'm still waiting ! Maybe in the next century ? Who knows. All I do know we won't benefit from any cures !

I'm not so sure, who knows whats round the corner and how it will change our lives for the better.
