hey all, there was a new (old) doctor at my GP instead of my usual GP, and he decided that I had an infection i my eczema on my hands and should have antibiotics .. as I asked for some cortison-creme ... I m not used to have such bad eczema and I got both those pills and the cortison-creme ... and now my blood glucose after excercising is much higher than usual, and I have only eaten what usually does´t raise my blood glucose

can antibiotica on its own raise blood glucose, I mean it wasn´t raised right before I started taking those pills ?

Yes..in fact usually. Also, some creams may have a steroid content...and steroids will definitely spike your blood sugar..in fact, it was a course of steroid meds which caused my diabetes! Just so you know...almost anything can muck about with levels from medication to stress to watching kangaroos play snooker on a Tuesday. The best way to avoid all this is to note what the effects of meds and foods are on your levels...develop a routine..and stick to it. That said, sometimes we just need to take certain meds!

It sounds like this doc thinks you have a staph infection in your eczema. That alone will raise your blood sugars. But yes, meds can certainly do that as well, especially steroids. I hope it clears up quick for you. :)

Thanks for your answers Yes I didnt Think of the steroid creme that can raise BG too of cause ... I dont Think I have infection in my eczema well But to be sure I take the antibiotics though as he could be right . My sugars wasnt raised right before so well But thanks Interesting What my number will be this morning when I get out of bed ☃️
