HI, I am new to the forum, have been diabetic since 2001. Recently I have been experiencing anxiousness to the point that it effects my focus and my behavior towards others. Also, I was diagnosed with retinalopthy(sp?). Any tips on how to clear up the the eye sight besides the sugar. I have had my eyes coderized twice.
I am open to suggestions for both these items, as they are greatly affecting my life. Thank you, Candy

Hi @crbertoli .. welcome

Welcome to the forum @crbertoli

Regards to your anxiety it would be best to see your Dr and ask for help in dealing with the problem, there's some good treatments available like Cognitive behavioural therapy which may help.

As for tips on your retinopathy, I'm afraid the best advice is to control your diabetes to stop the condition from progressing, but it's also important to control your bp and cholesterol levels too, it says all this and much more in the following website:

Best wishes and good luck.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
If CBT isn't available to you straight away your Gp should be able to prescibe you something to take the edge off your anxiety, which in turn will help lower your BP if thats raised as a consequence. With regard to the retinography, I'm no expert but as already been suggested, getting your diabetes under control will help. What are your HbA1c and blood glucose readings like? Do you need advise on getting your levels under control or are you managing at the moment?
Keep posting for support. Things can and will get better.
Maggie
