Mounjaro journey update: now lost 16 Lbs over 13 weeks and on 7.5mg pen.

Still no major side effects, so all good!

How's everyone else doing?

Oh wow I'm so jealous. I might have to start saving up if my insurance won't cover.

Glad to hear it actually works!

I tried it recently for weight loss. It made my feet feel cold and with a burning feeling. I have had the burning off and on since diagnosis 5 years ago. It gradually got better each year as I maintained good blood sugar control. Suddenly flared up a couple of days ago after I got a Mounjaro shot. Might be coincidence, but I kind of doubt it. Anyone else experience anything similar?

Insulin
Anybody here been on Mounjaro and have any experiences? I like that it is supposedly so good at lowering A1C and has the side effect of weight loss. Unfortunately, it's super expensive where I live like almost 1000 dollars a month.

I'm hoping I can get insurance to cover it but I am still going to research it and see what people say.

How long did it work?
A1C change?
Weight lost?
Any side effects?
Hi, I am I. The UK, the injections sold out to private clinics very fast,
So my Doctors could not get them. I have type 2 and inject Insulin,, I also take a high dose of a combined drug Metformin and Glicazide 2 tabs 2500mg each Dapaflug?
Due to lack of the injections for weight loss I was put on yet another pill Rybelus, a type of semiglutide. I have been taking 14gm day for nearly a year, I have combined it with Slimming World diet and exercise, so far I have lost 1st 9lb (23lb). I have do not feel hungry yet I still crave what I am not meant to have. My glucose levels have come right down 40mml, Drs are concerned as should not be that low with I sulun and Rybelus, but as I feel good it is not a problem, just keep an eye on it. I am 64 and was diagnosed over 25yrs ago, I did not take the diabetes 2 serious until 10years ago, guess I am paying the price.

I'm starting a course of Mounjaro on Monday starting at 2.5 mg.

I hope I have as much success with it as so many in this thread seem to be having.

The only thing that bothers me is the possibility of being sick. I hate being sick.

Wish me luck.

I’ve been on mounjaro for quite a while now . Currently on 7.5 mg after working through the doses . Once I start a higher dose I’m as sick as a dog for the first few days but I tried to cope with it because it brought my sugar levels down so well but I have lost no weight and didn’t when I was on ozempic before the shortages .
Now 7.5 is not causing me so much vomiting but it’s stopped bringing my BS down . I don’t know if I can go up to the next level the vomiting has such an impact on my everyday life life . Who wants to go out for a day and end up vomiting in the gutter ‍♀️
Really getting me down at the moment when I try so hard !
