Any LGV drivers with type 1

Hi all...............very recent diognosed with type 1, went straight there with no warning, so a huge shock to me. seem to be managing with injections ok, just wanted to know if any other drivers out there with this and how much grief do you get from dvla or are they pretty ok about it, or is it the case of chasing them up to get licence back?????

I am going to presume that being as your type1 and on injections that tour taking insulin. If that is the case DVLA will revoke your licence, to get it back you have to through hoops including having 3 months blood meter readings and several medicals including one by an independent DVLA appointed doctor and depending on your hypo awareness you may get it back but not guaranteed. Sorry to give bad news on this but I am type 2 insulin dependant and my LGV has been revoked, oh and saying that you will only get a 12 month licence each time
