Hi. I came off Gliclazide by choice some 3 months ago as neither 80 or 160mg seemed to make any difference to my levels. Around that time I started experimenting with diet. Having gone onto a very low carb diet maybe 2 months or so ago, my levels dropped very nicely (with space for more improvement of course). As I am still getting a spike up to about 8.8mmols form a steroid I take (with my pattern otherwise being between 5.6 and 7.2) I thought I would try the meds again in the morning now that my diet is under control to see if it helped. Normally I end the day on about 5.8..today 7.8! Any opinions? Obviously, I am prepared to give it a bit of time but don't want to muck my levels up for no good reason. Any thoughts at all woudl eb welcome as I bang my head against the Type 2 wall. Paul
