Thanks for the replies thus far :) I am perfectly happy to go wholeheartedly into low-carb ... I have seen the light haha ... even the evil demon that sits on my shoulder making me want pizza has got a sock stuffed in her mouth :) (a low carb one) The ketotic state I experienced for almost three months was brought about by lack of any food, rather than specifically lack of carb rich foods, so I suppose the fact I felt utterly kak (and frankly on the edge of death) may not have been entirely attributable to the ketosis as described by losing the carbs. I guess I'm really a bit antzy cos I've not seen the needle move on the scales (not that I'm impatient of anything) and I figured the only good thing to come my way would be a rather glamourous weight loss, which as yet, had not appeared. Bum. So - am I doing anything wrong? Or am I just expecting results too soon? Thus far my fasting bloods have all been in the region of 7 ... which I understand is rather higher than the longer term desireable level ... phhhhhhftttttt ... sorry, just being impatient probably ;) J/xx
