Mobility is a major problem for my self because of a back issue lumbar 1 is trapping a nerve an also lumbar 1 is sticking out my specialist says nothing can be done to help with this problem due to the way the L1 is crushing the nerve and had said that i will be in pain for the rest of my life and i have had to come to terms with this, Its NOT been easy as you may well expect.
Due to my back problem i have fallen down stairs a number of times and the last time i fell down stairs i managed to grab hold of the banister rail and slowed my fall some what, but not it turns out that due to me garbing the banister rail i have trapped a nerve in my left arm and 3 of my fingers are also suffering numbness and pain ( only way to explain it)
And for a week now i have had pain in my right arm it started in the wrist and has made it all the way to the shoulder but the most pain is in my elbow.
I asked the specialist yesterday about the pain in my right arm and she said the my diabetes is the possible cause for this pain?.
I find this hard to understand and if there is any truth to this?, The pain is not in the muscle but in the actual bone its self it hurts to move my are almost all of the time i cant even pick up my 5 year old son with out being in absolute pain.
I have had occupational therapy round to the house and the have fitted had rails and other things in order to help me get round the house ( helps a little and i have crutches for when i am out at the doctors or the hospital, due to the fact i cant stand unaided for more than 5 minutes, but when using the crutches this aggravates my right arm causing more pain.
I have been given
butrans 5/10 micrpgram/hour transdermal patch's (morphine 7 day patch) to attempt to help with the back/leg pains i have had several other tablets as well but the doctors are really restricted to what they can give me because i am on 150mg of
sertraline.
