I've been on Ozempic for nearly 3 weeks, once a week injection of .25 for 4 weeks. I then have a review from nurse who will put up the dose.

I still take metformin x 4; so have been taken off sitagliptin and glizade (which made me go right down low for my H1abc of 46 from 62.

I am feeling nausious each time. does it get better when I take the higher dose?

I've been on Ozempic since January 2019, one month on the .25 and then up to the .50. I take mine on a Friday evening and usually find that within a couple of hours my stomach starts 'turning' it lasts maybe 30 minutes and then I'm fine - doesn't happen every week, and I would say it happens less over time. I still take 4 x metformin and 2 x glizade each day (along with statins and others), but in January my H1 was around 95 and my last test was down to 66, I know it's still high but has been dropping with each test.

Hi
I’m afraid I won’t be much use to your question but just wanted to comment .
im currently taking victoza and gliclazide but it’s not having the desired effect so they want to change me to ozempic . I keep seeing so many stories of side effects that I’m terrified to go on it . Jenty - when I first went on victoza I felt really sick initially but this passed over a few weeks - hopefully you’ll find the same with ozempic . You might find that you feel a little worse as the dose increases but hopefully will improve . This is just based on the victoza and I’ve also tried trulicity which is a weekly injection x

Apologies for not geting back to you guys. Thank you for your replies. I'm now on .5mg, not too bad the first week of this higher doze, seemed to peter out s I got nearer to my next dose.Which was last night. I've lost 4lbs in weight, and my next H1 will be Feb/March time. fingers crossed that the result is lower.

The only other thing that worries me now, is when I fly to IOM in July, I only go hand luggage anyway, and of course I have to declare as needles. But anything else I should know?
thank you.
