Could you give some context? Where has this been used? DM can mean diabetes mellitus.
I've on,y seen that in reference to digital cameras @Susan_Forbes but I'm sure, like most acronyms, there are other definitions.
Can you explain where you saw it and in reference to what?

I had a look for 'DCDM diabetes' and found this reference:
'...Report of the expert committee on the diagnosis and classification of diabetes mellitus (DCDM).'

In reference to Diabetes the Doctor wrote it?
Do you have a quote showing the sentence it was in, then perhaps we can work it out
I can't think what that would be offhand.

Could it stand for Diploma in Clinical Diabetes Mellitus? (found this list, and that is what DC might stand for - http://patient.info/doctor/abbreviations). I've not come across it before though.

As an aside to the above, in my searching I also came across a list of doctors' slang, but it's not suitable for sharing on a *coughs* family forum.....!
