Anyone's GP aware of their clinic ID for CGM data sharing?

I was hoping to get some feedback from my GP practice regarding my CGM data results, and both Dexcom and Abbott web sites suggested I get my GP's clinic ID and set it up. I just tried to get that information from my GP practice and they haven't got the faintest idea what I'm talking about: I'm to phone the surgery and explain. :bored:

Has anyone else tried this and succeeded?

I have the hospital Diabetes team clinic ID, so they can see Dexcom info. My GP can't see it. It could be that only hospitals are set up in this way.

I was connected up when I was officially diagnosed type 1, then it was cut off again when my diagnosis changed. I believe it's part of the clinical package of care for type 1 only. The key reason is that the support team will be automatically contacted in the case of a hypo, so you should be able to access this as part of that service.

If they don’t have the faintest idea then they don’t use the system and won’t use it.. it’s normally only the specialist diabetes clinics that’s use this.. so unless you are asked by a clinic to add this, don’t worry about it

That's a shame .. one of the very rare occasions I actually want to share health data with someone and they can't accept it. Mind you, I can still print out summary charts and other data when I go for my followup.

From what I know white access to my own Libreview account.

It updates to the account every 20 minutes?
The support team with access would need to be watching me 24/7 “big brother” style to be alerted to any lows I had..
They can however spot trends where out of range occurrences happen & make recommendations..

Regarding an HCP viewing the data on Libre view.
They put in a “friend request” via email & you add them on the Libre link app as a “follower.”
It’s usually the DN that does this for me.
But since they change more often than my socks. I see no need to have them on my list.

My endo prefers to look at the app on my phone..

I've never heard of this @Chris24Main
Is it just for newly diagnosed people?
I’m wondering if @Chris24Main is thinking about Libre linkup?
It’s a sister app for carers or parent’s devices who can be alerted if the patient goes low? (Or high?)
It follows pretty much in realtime?

I’ve used this app on my iPad from my phone..

Yeah, I'm not realistically expecting anyone other than me to monitor my levels, but access to historic data I feel would be useful. I should probably just use the Clarity app to generate and print some reports.

Hi,
If you use Dexcom?

You should be able to use clarity (if it’s the Dexcom version of Libreview?) to pull up reports.
Hopefully, there should be a print option when logged into the account?
If not. You could always do a “screen shot..”

Could well be, was definitely Libre something.. allowed my wife to be alerted in the case of a hypo too, so it was something you could easily share.

Hi,
That sounds more like linkup..

I messed around with the app on my iPad.
It gave me banners alerting to an impending lows or heading north if I was engrossed in graphic art or music pursuits..

That crossed my mind, but I re-read the post and I read it as a hospital team. Sorry if I read it wrongly @Chris24Main

Not at all.. it was both actually, this was in the maelstrom of early type 1 diagnosis, so it was all a bit hazy.. I did once get a call from the hospital support team who were concerned about my levels, and suggested increasing my doses, and all that was from remotely observing my libre graph, so it is all possible, but I would guess varies from place to place.
