So I had my appointment that I was dreading and well it went very well, nurse was pleased i came to see her and happy that I am back on injections, she wants me to try triceba....not that i know much about it! She is disgusted with my lack of care with consultants etc but i am now seeing her every 2 weeks! So fingers crossed things should be looking up :)

From the little I know, Tresiba is a relatively new high strength insulin, I would like to suggest that you read up about it before changing over.

I'm really pleased you've had a good experience, at last Nicola. I remember you having a bit of a nightmare a while back. I'm assuming this very close monitoring is for your preconception stuff?

That's great :) Here is some info about tresiba:

I've been using Tresiba for over a year now and find it very flat compared to Lantus or Levemir. There is a high strength version of it but I expect that you'll just have the normal strength u100 version, unless you are very insulin-resistant.

Pleased it went well Nicola, you must be over the moon being prescribed Tresiba :)

So no problems for you???

I hope it works well for you. Sometimes I get a bit of DP and it might drift up to 6 or so, but I can live with that.
Drift up to 6....that's nothing ahhh!! What's your hba1c??? I've got to start weening off of my antidepressants as well which i think is going to be hard with everything!
Thank you though!
