Bit of a rant, I spoke to my diabetes specialist nurse at my GP Surgery about a year ago about getting a pump she said she thought I would benefit from list too, she got in contact with all the specialists that deal with this who I would need to speak to and arranged an appointment but they later cancelled that appointment and sent another one which again they cancelled and reposted another appointment which was today and I've just been to that appointment I let them know at the reception desk that I was there they sent me to have all the checks done i.e. bloods, weight etc then told me to wait, well I waited for 45 mins before someone came and said sorry did you not get your letter to say your appointment had been rearranged for another day next month.
This might be just me being impatient but it's really starting to stress me out especially as I had to take time off work to attend.
Sorry but I feel better for having that rant.

I would make a complaint to PALS. There seems to be a lack of understanding here as to how patients need to be informed correctly when appointments are cancelled. You cannot be expected to know if you have not received a notification that an appointment has been cancelled as you are not a mind reader.
I would feel like ranting too.:banghead:

Thanks I've cooled off a bit now I just think if it was the other way round and it was me not turning up or cancelling then they would be on my back straight away.

that is disgusting !
i hope you at least gave them the evil eye before leaving:cyclops:

That's terrible, I would be furious especially with taking time off work.

I did have a bit of a moan at them I wouldn't usually but my BS had dropped from waiting so long so they kind of got a mouth full from me it's just so annoying because they've done it before so I made a complaint to my GP about it.
