my son is type2 diabetic. he is not consistent taking medication. his sugar today was14 in the morning and is28 after lunch. At which level people go in a coma? should he report to hospital?

What medication does he take ? What does he eat that spikes his BG levels that high ? He needs to go back and see his doctor or nurse. If he doesn't take his medication, you've answered your own question. As for coma, there is no set number. Very low levels usually are associated with coma. High levels over a long time will lead to nasty diabetic complications.

Type2s can go into a coma with consistently high levels. Have you read up on H.O.N.K?

As Mo says, if he is not taking his medication and adopting a suitable diet, then he needs help from his Health Care Team. It can be managed but only if he is prepared to do something about it.
