Hi I am a 40 year old female. The last 4 months, I have had a weight loss of about 2 stones. I did at first put it down to my my thyroid medication actually working, and I also follow a 1000 calorie a day diet. I haven't lost weight in many years. I am about 10 stones overweight. I have had antibiotics for a skin condition this caused a lot of gastro problems with the side effects. The last month or so I have had thrush in my mouth, and now a very dry mouth, thirst, slow healing cuts, loss of sensation for bladder and bowel and blurry vision. I have looked this up and the one thing that keeps coming up is diabetes. Does anyone else have this? Could my nerves be damaged?. I have got a home test kit today and if this shows anything I am going to my GP, well I will anyway. Thank you.

I would go to your doctor anyway.
That list of symptoms could be a lot of things, and diabetes is on the list, but you need a proper investigation, diagnosis and treatment.
I strongly suggest that you make the appointment as soon as possible.

Hope you get some answers, and if it does turn out to be diabetes, then you know where to find us, and this forum is a wealth of helpful information and support to help you adjust.

I agree with Brunn - @emma_1978 Get yourself down the doctors and get checked out thoroughly, there's alot going on there and you need to see a professional.

Also please ask your doctor to test for bacterial and yeast overgrowth (e.g. SIBO, Candida). It might also be good to check your nutrient balances. Some of those tests will give a good indication of overgrowths and microbiome dysbiosis as well, like Genova Diagnostics NutraEval FMV or similar. Malabsorption, nutrient deficiencies, poor diet, but also exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) could be things to look into.

Apologies in jumping in but I'm new to this site. I have a question.
Why does eating sugar after the body has converted it from a carbohydrates like buckwheat causing an inflammatory response in the eyebrows? And the onset of brainfog and tiredness. Please help from a candida sufferer
