are we supposed to take multi vitamins while on low carb keto ?

I seem to manage getting enough Vit D living in rural Lancashire, but I do go outside a lot, even in winter when it isn't raining.
I'm not saying I am flush with Vit D but I am in the normal range - and that last test wass in November. So it is possible.

I reckon if my food on my previous higher carb diet was giving me all the vitamins and minerals I needed, then so is my low carb/keto one - I'm simply cutting out all the sugary starchy stuff and what remains is virtually all the same good stuff.

Too little sun exposure is just as bad (maybe worse) compared to too much sun exposure:

I agree with you on that, in fact whenever skin cancer is found it is nearly always on parts of the body that is covered , I am a firm believer that the sun doesn't cause cancer but sun creams do with the chemicals that are in them . I also believe that we need to expose our skin to the sun for twenty minutes without protection and that when we have had enough our body will tell us that we need to go in the shade . I just never use sun protection lotions i always sit in the sun and when i feel i have had enough i sit in the shade.

From my reading, not as professional advice or opinion:
Strict vegans it is said develop vitamin B12 deficiency and will need supplements to stay healthy long term.
And we should spare a thought for those with undiagnosed coeliac disease who may have one or more of a number of vitamin or mineral deficiencies which only a gluten-free diet can assist with.
