I don't know how you can't be defined by diabetes. It influences a large percentage of my thoughts on a daily basis....whats my bg like this morn? How many carbs have i eaten? How much do i inject? Can i exercise now or do i need a carb top up? Are my bg levels ok for me to sleep?
Whilst for most of us who've had it for years don't realise the constant internal monologue of these questions as they've become second nature, they are regular thoughts that remind us of what we have. How is that not being defined? And why is that a bad thing? It keeps us healthy and active in our pursuit of good health. I am defined by Diabetes but im glad to be. It will keep me sharp in my quest for godd bg levels, a healthy life and hopefully no complications!
