Are your hypos... weird?

2AM this morning I was woken by a hypo. It wasn't a 'bad' one at 3.4, but I woke up with wet sheets and hair from sweating so much. Does anyone get feelings of dispair, over anxiety, real low motivation, weak muscles etc? A tiny little thought can run through my mind mid hypo and it can feel like the worlds going to end, then my ugar gets back above 5 and I'm 'normal' again. Is this normal for 'type 1ers'?

No wonder bouncers just think people having hypos are drunk

That's how mine are!

I find them much worse of a night time and get a horrible hungover feeling the next morning too.

I don't have to be really low to feel really bad either, I've been about 3.5 in the past and have bad to get down stairs on my bum and crawl my way into the kitchen.
Terrifying!

I think with hypos it's a case of anything goes. I'm sure everyone has different hypo experiences - some people get violent, some get silly, I personally do and say things I wouldn't dream of normally.

I wonder if you had been much lower than 3.4 hence why your sheets were wet from sweating.

I think everyone's hypo symptoms can vary, I have an usual one where I need a pee urgently, certainly hypo's are not nice and the fewer we have the better!

Yeah I don't really get the anger bit, but I remember when I first diagnosed I got frustrated as my mother would panic and practically try to force feed me haha

Yeah that's what I was like last night. You just can't bring yourself to get up - it's not laziness, it's more like physical and mental exhaustion. My legs were stiff and like jelly - as if I'd just been for a run. I get that horrible hangover feeling too, especially the horrible taste after eating sweet stuff at night.

I had to go to my car to get my other tester (2AM, in my boxers - what a sight eh? haha) as I couldn't find the one in my room. The machine was cold, but that usually makes my readings lower than they actually are, not higher. Perhaps I should get my meter calibrated again, but I didn't feel much lower than 3-3.5. The lowest I've ever been is 1.0!

Glad to hear that someone else has to pee urgently in connection to hypos - I do too, and have always thought it a bit odd!

:D

There was someone else on the forum like us but their name escapes me.

Sorry guys, I've replied, but it's awaiting moderation for some reason. Think it's because I quoted three posts in one message or something.
