Going to speak to my GP this week
(that's if I can get an appointment) just to see if he will take me of gliclazide as my BG has settled down a bit
 
I don't wish to be gloomy but if your BG is OK, it's because of the Gliclazide.

I only managed to come off Gliclazide (and Januvia) because my BG was dropping so low that I was having hypos, viz. I was over medicated.

From your other posts, I think he will reduce them if your readings are good! Rather than take you off completely.
 
Let us know how you get on. Make sure you tell your GP that you are improving your diet now and have had some lower readings because of this.
