Aspartame - just for information.

As an ex hippie, I resent that labelling. I accept Blog
Sorry @Oldvatr, can you just clear up how you became an ex - hippie? Did you wake up one lunchtime and decide " that's it- no more hippying for me!"

I bet you still rock in private! ( peace out).

Truvia for me. Seems safest.

Janis Joplin rules! Jefferson Starship and the baby tree. Blue Oyster Cult. Got the T shirts and the vinyls. Bit difficult rocking in a zimmer frame now.
Actually there was a rebirth moment, when I realised that today's hippy is tomorrow's tramp, seeing how many friends had gone to the great junkyard in the sky. i did consciously drop back in and got a job and career (and a pension).

A study done with school children showed no cognitive changes with normal consumption. That said one study did show that people with a mood disorder are more sensitive to changes when drinking artificially sweetened beverages. Though most studies (in general even) usually have a small group of test subjects. Most studies show little to no effects though on a personal note i could argue that aspartame is a bit abundant today and that high consumption of it does no good and maybe just maybe might do some harm. I try to stay away from it though can't start the day without my sugar free energy drink, not having my energy drink would do more harm than good and definitely has and adverse effect on my mood :D
