I have been on both for several years now, and not seeing any problems.

If this is a long term use of aspirin, then it should be the lower dose dispersible type and not over-the-counter standard aspirin. Also use of aspirin or associated blood thinner type drugs may need an additional drug such as a PPI med to protect the stomach lining and prevent ulcers developing. PPI meds can interact with the absorbtion of some vitamins and other meds.

Yes as @Oldvatr says PPI = Proton Pump Inhibitors such as omeprazole. I take lansoprazole they reduce stomach acid.

Thanks so much for the attention. I'm taking low dose aspirin & 1500 mg of metformin for 2 weeks now on a daily basis, so far have not experienced any problem. Just trying to find out if any member has had encountered adverse effect doing the same.

I do take aspirin but have only ever taken a low dosage of metformin and have had no problems with any interaction.

I am continuing my intake of low dosage aspirin and 1500 mg of metformin (3×/day after meals). I'm consuming meat, pork, 1 boiled egg, low intake of carbs, blended vegie combo of cucumber, celery & okra & of course regular exercises. My BS readings for the past 3 days were 102, 98, 94 respectively and this morning it was 90 mg/dl. I will reduce my metformin intake to 1000 - 500 mg/day if my BS contunue to drop.
