Aspirin!

As a Type 1 diabetic, one of the medications prescribed is a daily 75mg of aspirin. Imagine my surprise when I saw the banner headlines in today's Daily Mail saying "A DAILY ASPIRIN COULD BE BAD FOR YOU".
Talk about mixed messages! Do I continue to take it or do I stop? What does everyone think, I would welcome your opinions.

Personally I refused to take aspirin when first offered as I did not want to end up with a stomach ulcer as well as diabetes.

I think the current advice is that you should only use the aspirin if you have or have had some form of cardiovascular disease such as stroke or heart attack or angina.

I can't say I'd ever make a decision about my, or anyone else's, health care based on a newspaper headline - I'd read the original paper, and then discuss with healthcare team.
