Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed yesterday with Reactive hypoglycemia after years of suffering with dizziness, light headed episodes and sudden starving hungry attacks shortly after my breakfast! Of course I got home and trawlled the internet looking for info and came across this site. I am now waiting for a dietician appointment. I cant believe others have had the same symptoms its great to know im not going mad !
Mandy.

Hi, Mandy, and welcome to the forum!

I'm going to tag @Lamont D , because he knows lots about RH and, if I recall correctly, played a part in setting up a specialist sub-forum on the subject, linked here:

https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/category/reactive-hypoglycemia.70/

I'm T1 so am coming at the whole carbs/insulin/hypo thing from a different angle, so can't offer any treatment views for RH but I will say that whatever the dx, in many ways, it is a relief to get a diagnosis, so you know what you're actually dealing with.

There's lots of people here who've been there, done that, got the T-shirt, so I'm sure the RH specialists will be along soon to give you some starting points on a journey which might seem terrifying to start with, but generally works out as, "yeah, bit of a hassle, but do-able".

Best of luck, Mandy, new chapter in your life etc. etc., make sure you write it well.

Hi mandy, and welcome to our forum.

Hopefully by now, you have read a ot of the information on the threads.
You will need this to move forward.
You might need questions answered to how to use food to treat the RH.

Can you give us an idea what you are eating and drinking?. Have they put you any meds?

Best wishes
