Not sure how to answer that one tuvixuk, but there is a modified Atkins diet on the forum somewhere you can look up

If you are on any special sugar lowering drugs (other than metformin) you should talk to your medical team before going on any super-low-carb diets

Atkins is brilliant but have a look at Dr Bernsteins Very Low Carb Diet. It is like Atkins on steroids! Very good for keeping those bg levels low.
