I found a work colleagues attitude unbelievable today. It made me cry so much. I work in a school and a meeting came up and I would have liked to have gone. I found out last minute as I was preparing my lunch . I was told quite bluntly I did not have to go. It made me feel more even less part of the school . As nobody had even told me and if I had I could have delayed my lunch and eaten something smaller earlier- I am on medication and I need to eat regular . People don't realise how much diabetes and medication had an affect on day to day and cannot just drop things.

Sadly there will always be complete (expletive deleted) in just about any job you care to mention. Don't let the ********get you down. I hope that person's care for a colleague doesn't extend to how she cares for the pupils. Unsuitable behaviour for someone working in a school really.

Hi. It sounds as if it was handles very insensitively. Can I ask whether it's diabetes medication that is influencing your meal pattern or other drugs you are on?

I was advised to eat every 4 hours to try and level my blood levels. I also feel better if I do . I am on no other drugs just the slow releasing mediformin .
