Hi All

Sorry I haven't logged on since November - had a bleed in my eye and needed loads of laser treatment. Each treatment left me sick, dizzy and dazzled for a week. Then straight back to work and wanting to rest my eyes otherwise, so not using the computer at home. Had the (probable) all clear now, just under increased hospital screening and fingers crossed.

Meanwhile, my pump has measurably improved my HbA1c. Pre-pump was stuck at 8.2, fell from 8.1 to 7.6 (60 in new money) between December and April - despite Christmas, laser treatment and 2 viruses. Still some way to go, but the consultant would've been worried about that much reduction so quickly without a clear reason. So I'm pretty :D

Also there was a big reshuffle at work. I was worried about being out of work, but I got my ideal job and it's brill :D :D

Hi Little Sue!,

I am also back after a long break trying to juggle doing the work of 3 men in work

So I had a appointment with my consultant on Tuesday (A1c still a little high but steadily coming down!) I noticed a bleed in my left eye a week ago, they sent me to have a pic taken and it showed that the bleed is quite close to my retina so they are unsure weather to laser it or not :( They mentioned that it may need to be operated on....they would let me know, I still havnt heard anthing from them so now I am panicked that its only going to get worse

Sorry for the rant! I hope they got what they needed by laser, I know its not nice to have it done -it too leaves me feeling sick and dizzy for days...then straight back into work, its not easy but I think it makes us stroger!

And congrats in getting your ideal job

Sorry I missed this last week Sue!

Well done on the A1c reduction but sorry to read about your eye bleed, hope the good progress continues :)
