It worked before, it can work again. After some grief and just plain not really caring what I ate all that much, as well as some carb creep when I did get back on the wagon, blood sugars are getting back to good again. So it's not like it's a path of no return, if you've been non-low carb for a while. If you can give it another go, do. If you want to give it another go, do.Hy everyone. After my diagnosis with H1ac of 124 about 2018/19 got put on metformin which gave me terrible side effects with days not being able to go far from the loo. Then Sukkarto slow release which is bit better. I joined here and got great advice from some good folk who i notice are still helping new members. Low carb and excersise got me down into the 70s range. Then they put me on Trulicity and I git down unto the 40s and things were good. No side effects at all on injection. Now few things have gone on and bad habits have crept back in culminating in numbers up in 70s. Going today for blood test and the nurse is insisting I take a statin (cholesterol numbers all good) and she's changing me to a stronger medicine( will find out name today). I was statred on adaminulab (dernatology)last year and really felt low since this and feel like I lost my motivation to excersise and eat carefully. Basically I'm back at what feels the start again. Is it just a case of getting back into good habits or follow the nurse advice who has basically been trying to ram meds after new meds down me? She's been of the opinion from day one it's all about the meds and was bit dismissive of my low carb and refusing statin etc. Would appreciate some advice please. Going for latest lecture from her in half hour so will see what's said and what this new miracle drug is called?
A friend of mine is extremely happy with her Mounjaro results, so... I hope this'll lift your spirits and help your motivation, as it did hers.Well it went OK really. Start on Mounjaro in couple of week when Trulicity runs out.Just looking into it now but seems similar drill as Trulicity. Start off on 2.5 then increase after month or so. Might just be the kick-start i need cos I'd certainly settled into a rut of poor habits.
I'm certainly hoping so. Thinking back to starting on Trulicity i was not hungry and generally felt good as exercising and everything that went with it. The weight slowly came down. Few year on im eating bigger portions often of the wrong things. Finding reasons not to go to the gym and generally downbeat outlook wise. Certainly seems moreso after I'd started on Adaminulab.? The battles in the mind, certainly in my case. Diet and gym im either super keen or super reluctant. Need to find a happy consistency again.A friend of mine is extremely happy with her Mounjaro results, so... I hope this'll lift your spirits and help your motivation, as it did hers.
Depression is a known but not very common side effect of the injections you're on (I'm guessing rheumatism?). So you might be on to something there. Alas, the stuff works. So does tocilizumab, but that'd require going to hospital and getting a bag hooked up for a few hours every month or so. (And it has its own considerable drawbacks). You could discuss the side effects with your specialist, maybe add in a mild antidepressant? If they're somewhat doable, as in, feeling down and unmotivated is one thing, becoming suicidal another, you might want to stick it out. Maybe knowing that the depression and possibly therefore, lack of motivation is potentially coming from an outside source rather than from within you, might help you get back on the wagon?I'm certainly hoping so. Tbf the nurse did mention anti depressant but don't feel low to the extent of anything more than just generally lethargic and glass half empty rather than normal more positive outlook. Been to the gym today so that's a start in right direction. Not been in 10 week so certainly feeling it now. I appreciate your replies and will see how this all pans out as i get back on track.Depression is a known but not very common side effect of the injections you're on (I'm guessing rheumatism?). Hang in there.
