Hi folks :(
type 2 week 5 . Last week i had 19 blood scores below 10. I am testing 4 times / day as requested by my DBN .Recording it all etc etc. Today my levels are progressivly climbing up to 15.9 .My meds are Gliclazide 80mg 2 with brekie
2 with dinner . I have not veered away from my diet at all lost 12lb in 4 wk.
It's so frustrating i thought i had cracked it with last week being my best ever.
How long does it take to settle your bloods down :?: ( i am strict with my diet)
And honestly on a downer now :( :(

You might just need more or different medication. Metformin might help, speak to your nurse about it?

Loosing weight and improving diet will also help, your blood sugar would be higher than it is if you hadn't improved your diet so don't feel bad that it is not perfect right away.

Things like infections, stress can make your blood sugar higher than normal, so it might just be a temporary increase too.

Also it can vary quite a lot over the day, are you testing at the same times as before eg fasting, 2hr after meal?

Hi HLW
yep i do the tests as you desrcibed last one was 11.8 i think i'm just having an off day. Thanks for your reply :)
