ps I was assessed by a physiotherapist.

My husband has server COPD (lung disease), he needs to use a nebuliser several times a day due to his disability, he also has problems with air fresheners, cleaning products and perfumes, as they cause him breathing difficulties.
He also was put on the back to work program 18 months ago.
It took the job center staff about 4 months to realize that no one would employ him because he was a very high insurance risk!!!
Employers insurances would not cover any of his health problems if he went back to work, they would not be able to reduce risks from him coming into contact with cleaning products, air fresheners (used in most rest rooms), or perfumes other staff may wear. Also most employers would not be willing to pat test his nebuliser for use at work (due to costs), and as he would have to carry it back and forth from home to work each day probably making the pat test nonviable. .

It took 12 months before the powers that be, actually listened to their staff and reply to our written request for a re-assessment.
Finally they agreed it was not possible for him to work with his lung disease.

It may be that you are also un-insurable from an employers point of view, It is worth researching this issue.

The government has to realise at some point that there are many disabilities where an employer will not consider people employable, because of the risks they bring with them.
