Back up to diabetic levels

As I said on a previous post I have had a wee bit of a blip over the last two weeks but I still managed to keep my fasting levels below 7mm/ol and my reading 2 hours after meals lower (except on 2 occasions) than 8.5mm/ol.

On diagnosis I was 7.4 and 8.7 with fasting readings but have been not seen these levels since diagnosis.

I got back on track on Monday but this morning I had a fasting reading after 10 hours of 7.0mm/ol and then 1 hour later after a brisk 3.5 mile walk of 8.0mm/ol.

The only difference I can see is the quantity of Burgen bread that I consumed yesterday. I know this is low GI and can only assume that the 5 slices I had through all of yesterday has elevated my fasting blood glucose levels, I assume this is more than likely?

A little disheartened at those levels this morning but I shall continue to plug away, albeit at a slower rate this time.
