Visited my diabetes nurse this morning & was told my latest Hba1c is 40 ! At the end of last year I caught a bacterial infection which caused my BG to go through the roof & spent 3 weeks in hospital & being prescribed insulin injections which did more harm than good.
Towards the end of my hospital stay my BG readings were at normal levels again but I was still injected with 55 units of insulin each day. Hypo's were awful. My diabetes nurse soon put a stop to that & under her care I am now back to where I was pre October last year.Hba1c back to 40 !
Another bonus was having my BP medication reduced as well.
low carbs did the trick for me again. !
