Long story shortened. Type 2 (I think) for three years now. Decent control until the last year where I've gone through several medication increases. (A1C mostly been around 5 after the initial diagnosis)
Just had a series of highs and long come downs, 35g of oats taking over 6 hours for BG to get below 7. Blood Test review with GP booked and is imminent. I've gone very low carb to manage until then.
6.9 FBG reading this morning, tea with milk, bacon and eggs for breakfast and my 2 hour test when I get to work was 9.2. It's come down now but I'm curious about the 9.2.
Not stressed or otherwise ill. I might have to look at the ingredients on the bacon, fresh opened packet of standard supermarket Danish. Nothing honey smoked or coated in sugar as far as I know. Curious now after a minor panic that what I thought was a low carb breakfast had that effect.
Anyone else had similar?
