Bad day :(

I knew it was going to be a rough day when I woke in the night to be sick. Morning fasting reading was just over 10.

Throughout the day things got worse. Levels rose to 11 and then right up to 12.5 just before coming to bed. I was sick twice more during the day and have a fever. I have also been peeing for Britain all day. I feel as though I have gone backwards.

I have my first blood test for A1C since the one where I was diagnosed back in May, in a couple of weeks. Not holding out a lot of hope for good results. :(

I also have had rotten indigestion for the past two weeks.

Sorry, just needed to offload.

I'm sorry I can't help you as I don't have diabetes so I can't advise re. your bloods .. but I'm sure someone else will be along shortly!

Carol, being poorly can have an effect on your glucose levels, and if this is also stressing you out, then that can often make them worse too as I well know - double whammy :(. Don't worry too much about these readings, they are only one bad day out of three months worth, so such a small percentage isn't really likely to make a dramatic change to your next results.
